The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has upgraded a three-year suspension for Counter-Strike 2 player Palkovics '2xplayN' Tamás to a permanent lifetime ban, Esports Insider reported. Counter-Strike 2 is a tactical first-person shooter published by Valve. The decision was made after Tamás published posts on social media during his active suspension. [1]

According to Esports Insider, the upgraded sanction followed a social media post that appeared to show stacks of cash. Tamás published the image shortly after ESIC announced his original three-year competition ban on Thursday, October 15. [1]

Esports Insider also reported that Dexerto previously covered the ban and subsequent police referral. The commission stated that it plans to refer the sanctioned conduct to Valve, government agencies and law enforcement bodies for further review. [1]
