Game director Hideo Kojima has acknowledged a fan-made port of P.T. that runs natively on Windows PC, according to IGN and IGN India. The port allows the interactive teaser to run natively on PC hardware, expanding access to a wider audience. [1][5]
P.T., which stands for Playable Teaser, originally released on the PlayStation 4 console in August 2014, IGN reported. It served as a short demo for a planned Silent Hill title directed by Kojima and starring actor Norman Reedus. Following a falling out between Kojima and publisher Konami, the project was scrapped and the demo was pulled from the PlayStation Store in 2015, IGN added. [1]
As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, an unofficial native PC port of the demo has been in development by an independent creator who previously released 30 minutes of gameplay footage on YouTube. [8]
Kojima previously created and directed the action-adventure stealth title Metal Gear Solid, which was developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation in 1998. [6]
