Gears of War E-Day launches on Xbox and PC Game Pass

Developer The Coalition and publisher Xbox Game Studios launched third-person shooter Gears of War: E-Day into premium early access on October 1, Pure Xbox reported. The title will receive its full release on Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 6. [1][7][10]
Pure Xbox interviewed Studio Creative Director Matt Searcy and Gameplay Design Director Pax Lyle regarding development. PCGamesN reported that the studio focused on building terror and balancing controls between controllers and keyboard setups, while Eurogamer.net noted a major investment in gore. Pure Xbox added that it awarded the title a 10/10 review score. [1][2][5]
Speaking to gaming news creator Destin Lergarie via MP1st, Searcy and Studio Art Director Aryan Hanbeck expressed pride in the title's status as an Xbox exclusive, IGN reported. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, the game is set fourteen years before the original Gears of War during Emergence Day. [3][10]
