The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has reached a record peak of 137,724 concurrent players on Steam following the launch of its remastered upgrade. Esports.gg and Eurogamer both reported that the new mark surpasses the game's previous peak player count set during the release of its Netflix television adaptation. Eurogamer noted that the record was registered on Sunday, 4 October, according to tracking data from SteamDB. [1][2][3][8][9][10]
Developer CD Projekt Red released the remastered edition as a free update for existing owners across platforms including PC, Xbox Series X and Series S. Eurogamer reported that the release has driven a surge of both returning players and new purchases across digital storefronts. [1][2][7]
