Digital Foundry has published its technical performance analysis for The Witcher 3 Remastered on the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Life and Nintendo Everything reported. The upgraded title is available at no extra cost to players who already owned the original game on the first Nintendo Switch, according to reports from Nintendo Life, Destructoid, and PC Gamer. Nintendo Life reported that the digital tech review highlighted image quality improvements over the original hardware. In docked mode, the game uses dynamic resolution scaling between 540p and 1080p, utilizing Nvidia DLSS upscaling technology to aim for a 1080p output target. In portable handheld mode, resolution ranges from 360p to 720p, targeting a final output of 720p, Nintendo Life noted. Nintendo Everything added that the analysis also focuses on frame rate stability compared to the previous release. [1][2][3]

The release of the remastered edition has driven the game to a new all-time peak for concurrent players, Destructoid and PC Gamer both reported. Destructoid noted that alongside technical upscales, the new edition incorporates several gameplay refinements while retaining previous software bugs. [4][5]
