Game designer Peter Molyneux has suggested that a project related to the original Black and White game may be in development. Rock Paper Shotgun and PC Gamer both report that Molyneux hinted at a potential remaster of the god game, a genre where players exercise divine powers over a virtual world and its inhabitants. Molyneux stated in a recent interview that a third entry in the series seems unlikely, but indicated that a remastered version of the first game could be on the way before noting it would be inappropriate to talk about it. [1][2][7]

The original Black and White was released in 2001 and featured a trainable creature companion alongside god game mechanics. Rock Paper Shotgun reports that Molyneux is currently working on his latest title, Masters of Albion. The designer previously co-founded Bullfrog Productions in 1987, where he developed Populous, Theme Park, and Dungeon Keeper, before founding Lionhead Studios in 1997 and later establishing development studio 22cans in 2012. [1][4][7]

No official announcements, platforms, release dates, or pricing details have been provided for the hinted project. Molyneux has created several major franchises during his career, including the Fable series, as well as experimental titles such as Curiosity: What is Inside the Cube? and Godus. [1][4]
