Dune Awakening launches free Blood and Ice expansion on December 1

Funcom will release Blood and Ice, a free expansion for its survival massively multiplayer online game Dune: Awakening, on December 1. Rock Paper Shotgun, Eurogamer, and The Otaku's Study all reported that the update adds a frozen survival area for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series systems. [1][2][3]

According to Eurogamer and Rock Paper Shotgun, the update adds a new survival map called the Polar Sink. Eurogamer reported that players must manage heat instead of cold, with the expansion adding around 35 hours of new progression alongside new vehicle modules, augments, and specialisation traits. Rock Paper Shotgun noted that an offline mode will be added to the game in November ahead of the expansion. The outlet also reported that a cosmetic store will launch alongside the update. [1]
