The creator of SFO Grimhammer 3, a popular modification for strategy game Total War: Warhammer 3, intentionally corrupted the mod in a protest against AI technologies. PC Gamer, ixbt.games, Rock Paper Shotgun, and se7en.ws all reported that the developer broke the project to target unauthorised AI repacks and reuploads. Outsiders were reportedly using automated systems to gather and repackage mod files without permission.
