Developer Deep Field Games has detailed a year two roadmap for its survival game Abiotic Factor, PCGamesN reported. The update schedule carries the title into 2027 with community-led improvements, free updates, and a paid downloadable content expansion. [1][2]
Abiotic Factor is set in 1993 inside a subterranean research facility operated by an organization called GATE. Players take the role of scientists who must scavenge resources, craft tools, build bases, and fight against paranormal containment breaches, alien invaders, and hostile military forces. [2][4]
The title entered early access, a model where players buy and play unfinished games during development, on Steam for PC on May 2, 2024. Publisher Playstack released the full version of the game on July 22, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. The game supports up to six players across single-player, online cooperative, and local network modes. [2][4]
