Finnish studio Remedy Entertainment reported its third-quarter financial results for fiscal year 2026, driven by the launch of action role-playing game Control Resonant. Game Developer, Eurogamer, and GamesIndustry.biz reported that Remedy generated €39.6 million, roughly $44.3 million, in revenue during the quarter. Game Developer, Eurogamer, GamesIndustry.biz, and PlayStation Universe all reported that revenue rose by 226 percent compared to €12.2 million in the same quarter of 2025. [1][5][6][8]

Control Resonant launched digitally on September 24, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. VGC reported that the game reached one million units sold on October 15, 2026, three weeks after launch and the same day physical console versions released. VGC and GamesIndustry.biz cited chief executive officer Jean-Charles Gaudechon calling the milestone a defining milestone for the company and noting that Control Resonant is the fastest-selling game in the studio's history. Half of the game's players were new to the franchise, Game Developer reported. [1][4][6][11][12]

In addition to revenue, Game Developer reported that Remedy recorded an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, or EBITDA, of €6.8 million and an operating profit of €0.6 million for the third quarter. The earnings turn around previous financial turmoil at the developer, according to Polygon. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, Control Resonant is a sequel to the 2019 title Control. [1][7][11][12]

Control Resonant is set to release on macOS later in 2026. [11]
