Epic Games has added a rare reward item to Fortnite that unlocks all cosmetic items in the Item Shop for free across 14 days. Push Square, Esports.gg, Polygon, Destructoid, Dexerto, VICE, Forbes and IGN all report that players can access the Pirate Shop benefit during the new pirate-themed Treasure Hunters season. Destructoid notes that the shop access is available from Nov. 1 through Dec. 5. [1][2][3][4][5][8][9][10][11]

The free access is granted through an in-game reward described by inputs as a Pirate Shop token or prize found in chests. Push Square reports that if a player discovers the Pirate Shop token while running in a squad, every teammate on the squad gets the reward as well. Dexerto notes that the item chest rolls feature limits, while Polygon describes the reward as a rare item in the battle royale mode. [1][3][4][5][6][8][9]

The new Treasure Hunters update is a Chapter 7 mini season that features crossover content with the One Piece franchise. Polygon reports that players can use Straw Hat Pirates skins from One Piece during the season. Push Square also notes that the Battle Royale mode has topped five million concurrent players during the event. [1][3][6]

Fortnite is a free-to-play video game platform developed by Epic Games where up to 100 players compete in its Battle Royale mode to be the last survivor standing. Players normally purchase cosmetic upgrades from the in-game store, but the new token provides full access to every cosmetic item on the shelves without spending money during the two-week period.
