Hypixel Studios gives extra Hytale copies to Cursebreaker Edition owners

Hypixel Studios founder Simon Collins-Laflamme announced on Twitter that owners of the premium Cursebreaker Edition of Hytale will receive one extra copy of the game for every early access chapter released. GamesRadar and GamesRadar+ both report that players who bought the Cursebreaker Edition will get a free copy of the Standard Edition to give to friends or family whenever a new chapter drops on the path to the version 1.0 release. Early access is a funding model in the video game industry where players pay to access early pre-release builds of a game while developers use those funds to continue development. Players who participate in early access typically test for bugs and provide feedback to help the studio refine the title before its full commercial release. [3]

Development of Hytale began in 2015 by members of the Hypixel Minecraft server community, leading to the formation of Hypixel Studios in 2018. Riot Games acquired Hypixel Studios in 2020 to support the development of the game and its custom voxel-based engine. [4]
