The developer behind Drunken Goddess Reflux has canceled plans to release a public demo on Steam, according to IGN and TwistedVoxel. Developer Who You and publisher Alliance Arts announced the decision due to fears that automated AI tools could copy the concept before launch. Steam is a PC digital distribution platform operated by Valve Corporation. [1][4][6]
As reported by IGN, the game is described as a shot glass Russian roulette experience featuring a demon character. Alliance Arts originally revealed the game in April, according to IGN and GameSpot, and recently announced that the full title would release this December. [1][3]
GameSpot and TwistedVoxel both report that the studio raised concerns about generative AI copycats stealing its ideas ahead of the full release. The team decided to cancel the public preview to prevent unauthorized clones from appearing online before the game hits the store. [3][4]
