Rockstar Games expands real world marketing in Miami ahead of GTA 6

Rockstar Games has expanded its real world promotional efforts in Miami ahead of the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. IGN reported that camera crews were seen filming convoys of themed vehicles in Miami for a potential live-action trailer. IGN also reported that Rockstar has placed advertisements around the city, flown a branded blimp over Florida, and arranged a themed NBA event with the Miami Heat in November. [1]

Dexerto reported that Rockstar Games is spending 4 million dollars to transform parts of Miami into Vice City. Dexerto also reported that official US database filings show labels for three fictional drinks from the game, including Pißwasser and Patriot beer, which suggests the beverages may be sold in real stores. Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch on November 19. [2]

In separate reports, Engadget and GamesRadar stated that developers have demonstrated new firmware exploits on the PlayStation 5. Engadget reported that a developer named Gezine shared a video showing access to debug settings on console firmware version 14.10.00. Engadget noted that this kernel level exploit does not mean Grand Theft Auto 6 can be pirated. [4][7]

Grand Theft Auto 6 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. It is set in the fictional state of Leonida, which is based on Florida, and features the Miami-inspired Vice City. Players control the criminal duo of Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in an open world environment. [10]
