Gaming outlets recently attended preview events in Beijing, China, for Phantom Blade Zero, an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by S-Game. PCGamesN, Push Square, and Polygon reported playing up to six hours of the game from the start of its first chapter, while GamesRadar reported playing a three-hour demo on Windows PC. [1][3][4][5][11]

The previews highlighted the title's wuxia-inspired martial arts combat system, which includes simple controls, intense parries, and additional weapons such as Phantom Edge. Polygon characterized the setting as a kungfupunk world, while GamesRadar described navigating wall runs, chains, and boss encounters while guiding the main character out of a ravine into a village of non-player characters. [3][4]

In Phantom Blade Zero, players control Soul, an elite assassin who is framed for the murder of his organization's leader and left with limited days to live due to a fatal heart wound. Set in the Phantom World, the story follows his attempt to expose a conspiracy and restore his heart. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, the title is part of the long-running Phantom Blade series. Alongside the preview impressions, reports surfaced regarding the physical release of the title on PlayStation 5. According to Wccftech and iXBT.games, online retailer Playasia pulled listings for a physical PlayStation 5 edition and stated that no physical release is coming. [2][7][11]
