An unofficial PC port of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been released, DSOGaming reported. The fan-made version brings the Nintendo Switch crossover fighting game to PC platforms as a direct executable project rather than relying on standard emulation. The original game was published by Nintendo. [1][5]
The new PC port supports performance up to 60 frames per second and output resolutions up to 4K, according to DSOGaming. Players can control the game using either a standard keyboard or an XInput-compatible gamepad, with keyboard controls supported immediately upon release. [1]
Super Smash Bros. is a platform fighting series created by Masahiro Sakurai and published by Nintendo. In platform fighters, players aim to knock opponents off stages by building up damage using various attack moves, rather than depleting a traditional health bar. [5]
This release follows similar fan projects for other titles in the fighting game series. Unofficial PC ports already exist for the original Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee, DSOGaming reported. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, fans also recently released an unofficial native PC port for Super Mario Sunshine. [1][7]
