Polygon and IGN reported that the title is scheduled to launch in November 2026. IGN confirmed that the reveal took place during an ID@Xbox showcase in October 2026, setting a release date of November 10 for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. [1][2]

Empire reported that the updated title will launch across all major platforms next month, while Nintendo Everything confirmed a release on the Nintendo Switch 2. Additional platform coverage from Push Square and Xbox Achievements notes releases for PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles. [3][5][8][11]

Polygon, IGN, and Nintendo Everything both report that the remaster includes updated graphics and 4K visuals, alongside online co-op play. According to Nintendo Everything, the new edition also introduces fresh features such as a Photo Mode and a Cheat Mode. [1][2][6]
