Developer Auroch Digital and publisher Focus Entertainment are releasing Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, a sequel to their retro-style first-person shooter set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. IGN reported that the game launches this week. Windows Central reported that the sequel features wider enemy and weapon variety along with a second playable character. [1][2][4][5]

Composer Mick Gordon contributed soundtrack work for the game's final boss encounter, IGN reported. Gordon previously composed music for 2016's Doom and 2020's Doom Eternal. The sequel lets players control Ultramarine Malum Caedo or Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath, according to a Steam product listing. [1][5]

Alongside the sequel release, publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Auroch Digital launched a digital Nintendo Switch 2 version of the original Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, Nintendo Everything reported. The report noted that the new version is available as a free upgrade for existing owners. [4]

Players on PC can purchase Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 on Steam with a 10 percent discount at launch, according to a Steam store listing. Windows Central added that the title lacks Xbox Play Anywhere support. [2][5]
