Developer Infinity Ward has added a non-milsim content disclaimer tag to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before players enter match matchmaking for its newly added Halloween mode, IGN reported. Milsim refers to realistic military simulation gameplay and aesthetics. IGN and IGN India both reported that the label marks content that does not conform to the game's usual grounded, realistic tone. [1][8]

The tag was introduced alongside a new Halloween-themed game mode called Possession, IGN reported. The mode allows players to possess the player they last killed, teleporting to their target's final location and acquiring their loadout, according to IGN. [1]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 was published by Activision on October 23, 2026. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, the title launched across platforms including the Nintendo Switch 2. [14][15]
