Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 players faces input lag on Switch 2

Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on the Nintendo Switch 2 face severe input lag during competitive multiplayer matches, putting them at a competitive disadvantage. IGN and GameRant both reported on the technical issue affecting the new first person shooter, which published by Activision. A Digital Foundry performance analysis cited by IGN found that input lag, which measures the delay between a button press and the action on screen, can be twice as long on the Switch 2 compared to the PlayStation 5 running at 60 frames per second. The release marks the first Call of Duty game to land on a Nintendo console since Call of Duty: Ghosts arrived in 2013, IGN reported. As FTMQ Gaming reported earlier, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launched on October 23, 2026, across platforms including the Switch 2. [1][13]

Separately, publisher Activision announced it will remove real footage of the Itaewon crowd crush from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on November 12, according to Eurogamer. Activision issued an apology to the victims and bereaved families, stating in a report cited by Eurogamer from Inven Global that the footage will be completely removed in an upcoming game update. [3]
